Question 1

When can I sign up?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. MarginPing is in final testing and is not taking signups or payments. Email support@marginping.com to be first in line for the beta.

Question 2

Which categories work?

Accepted Answer

We are starting with power tools and tool kits, including kits with the battery packed in. Those have model numbers and UPCs, which makes matching reliable. We skip standalone batteries at first because of shipping and Amazon restrictions. We add a category only after we have tested it.

Question 3

Does it buy for me?

Accepted Answer

No. It never buys, bids, or messages anyone. You tap the link, check the listing, and buy it yourself.

Question 4

What Amazon access does it need?

Accepted Answer

None, if you prefer. You can upload your own All Listings Report (and the Fee Preview Report for exact fees) from Seller Central, and re-upload weekly. Or connect your Amazon seller account with read-only access for live prices and fees. We cannot change listings, prices, or orders. Disconnect any time, and we delete your Amazon data the same day.

Question 5

How fast are alerts?

Accepted Answer

We do not promise a delivery time. How often each product is checked depends on how many products are being watched, and eBay's own search can show a new listing some time after it goes live. Every alert shows when we last checked the listing, so you can judge how fresh it is.

Question 6

Does buying from eBay put my Amazon account at risk?

Accepted Answer

It can add risk, and you should know before you start. Items bought on eBay come with eBay order records, not retail invoices. Some sellers report that Amazon asked for invoices during a review of sales velocity, and that eBay-sourced inventory made those reviews harder. We cannot promise how Amazon will treat your account. Keep every eBay receipt, read Amazon's current rules for your category, and start small. This is not legal advice.

Question 7

Telegram only, or SMS too?

Accepted Answer

Telegram only. It sends a push notification to your phone, and the Telegram app is free. SMS is not planned for launch.

Question 8

Is MarginPing part of eBay or Amazon?

Accepted Answer

No. MarginPing is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay or Amazon.
